Bhilwara (PTI) Expressing his concern on the situation in Pakistan, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday accused the UPA of failing to maintain peaceful bi-lateral ties with its neighbour.

Addressing a poll rally at Shahpur college ground, Mr. Modi spoke about the plight of Sikhs in Pakistan as they were targeted by Taliban and imposed with a 'Jaziya Kar' (tax).

Speaking on national issues and continuing his attack on Manmohan Singh by calling him a weak Prime Minister, Mr. Modi said that UPA failed to tackle issues related to basic needs of the common man and people felt insecure under its rule.

Connecting the black money issue with a quote of late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, who had said that only 15 paise out of one rupee extended by the government reaches the common people, Mr. Modi said the remaining 85 per cent is deposited today as black money.

He said the UPA failed to bring this money back to the country but the BJP, if given mandate, would bring it back and would utilize the amount for the welfare of people.
