PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth around ₹19,480 crore in Guwahati, Assam. He transferred more than ₹18,000 crore under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to Annadatas across the nation and distributed land pattas to tea plantation workers in Assam. He noted that the progress of Assam is giving new momentum to the entire North East and is emerging as a model state for the nation.

PM Modi will visit Assam on 13-14 March 2026. During the visit, the PM will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, lay foundation stones, perform Bhoomi Poojan and flag off multiple development projects worth more than ₹47,600 crore across Kokrajhar, Guwahati and Silchar. In Guwahati, the PM will distribute land pattas to tea garden workers and will also release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme.
