Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the PRAGATI meeting, the ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, involving Centre and State governments, earlier today.

PM Modi chaired the meeting of the 45th edition of PRAGATI. In the meeting, eight significant projects were reviewed, which included six Metro Projects of Urban Transport and one project each relating to Road connectivity and Thermal power. PM Modi chaired the meeting of 40th edition of PRAGATI. In the meeting, nine agenda items were taken for review including eight projects and one Programme. He also reviewed ‘National Broadband Mission’ Programme. PM Modi performed ‘bhoomi pujan’ of Ahmedabad Metro’s Phase-II and Surat Metro. “Ahmedabad and Surat are receiving very important gifts today. Metro will further strengthen the connectivity in what are two major business centres of the country,” the Prime Minister said in his remarks.
