PM Modi paid an official visit to Kuwait, at the invitation of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. During his first visit to the country, PM Modi attended the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup as the 'Guest of Honour' and held comprehensive talks to deepen bilateral ties.

This will be the first visit of an Indian PM to Kuwait in 43 years. During the visit, PM Modi will hold discussions with the leadership of Kuwait.
