The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved two more semiconductor projects under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), including the country’s first commercial Mini/Micro-LED display facility based on GaN technology and a semiconductor packaging unit. The projects, to be set up with an investment of around ₹3,936 crore, are expected to boost employment opportunities.
