Prime Minister holds official talks with Prime Minister of New Zealand

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met today with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Rt. Hon. Christopher Luxon at Government House in Auckland. On arrival at Government House, he was accorded a traditional Māori welcome. The ceremony included customary Māori rituals symbolising peace, respect and welcome. The Prime Ministers of India and New Zealand met in Auckland, New Zealand on 11 July 2026 and announced the creation of the India-New Zealand Strategic Partnership. The Prime Ministers endorsed this Roadmap to 2030 as a shared framework to guide joint action and further strengthen the India-New Zealand Strategic Partnership over the next four years.
