Prime Minister receives Agricola Medal from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome

Accepting the Agricola Medal for 2026 from the FAO, PM Modi said the recognition reflected India’s commitment to human welfare, food security and sustainable development. He dedicated the honour to Indian farmers and the country’s agricultural scientific community. He also highlighted initiatives such as ‘Per Drop More Crop’, micro-irrigation and precision farming, which are guiding India’s agricultural policies.
