PM Modi will visit Assam on 13-14 March 2026. During the visit, the PM will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, lay foundation stones, perform Bhoomi Poojan and flag off multiple development projects worth more than ₹47,600 crore across Kokrajhar, Guwahati and Silchar. In Guwahati, the PM will distribute land pattas to tea garden workers and will also release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme.

Later, in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, the PM will launch projects costing ₹5,650 crore covering energy, manufacturing, connectivity and railway services.

Cabinet approves extension of existing North-South corridor from GIFT City to Shahpur of Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRC)

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, today approved the extension of the existing North-South corridor of GMRC from GIFT City to Shahpur. The approved extension will be 3.33 kilometres long and will include three elevated stations.
