The airport will initially have a passenger handling capacity of 12 MPPA, with scalability up to 70 MPPA upon full development. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired PM Modi, has approved the revised total capital cost of Rs.3630.77 crore for the construction of Greenfield Connectivity in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The Union Cabinet, led by PM Modi, approved the establishment of a sixth semiconductor unit under the India Semiconductor Mission. A joint venture between HCL and Foxconn, the plant near Jewar airport will manufacture display driver chips for mobile phones, laptops, and more.
