Cabinet approves India’s Nationally Determined Contribution for 2031 to 2035

The Union Cabinet, under the chairmanship of PM Modi, has approved India’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for the period 2031 to 2035, enhancing the country’s ambition under the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement. This marks a major milestone in India’s journey towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient future, further strengthening its role as a global leader in climate action. India’s climate commitments will generate new opportunities for youth and women.

Prime Minister’s Departure Statement ahead of his visit to Rome and Glasgow

PM Modi will be visiting Rome, Italy and the Vatican City, from 29-31 October, 2021 at the invitation of H.E. Prime Minister Mario Draghi, following which he will travel to Glasgow, United Kingdom from 1-2 November 2021 at the invitation of H.E. Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
