Cabinet approves Scheme for support to NCRPB for replacement of old trucks and buses in Delhi-NCR area

Under PM Modi’s vision for cleaner and sustainable mobility, the Union Cabinet has approved a ₹9,585 crore scheme to replace nearly 2.07 lakh old trucks and buses in Delhi-NCR with BS-VI and electric vehicles. The initiative will reduce vehicular pollution, improve air quality, support green transport adoption and provide incentives including interest subvention, fuel vouchers, tax concessions and OEM discounts.

The theme for this year’s Summit is ‘Towards a Resilient Planet: Ensuring a Sustainable and Equitable Future’. The Summit will discuss a wide range of issues including climate change, sustainable production, energy transitions, global commons and resource security.
