On the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit, PM Modi met the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The two leaders reviewed the entire gamut of the bilateral strategic partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in new areas of interest. They noted that the India-EU FTA will open new avenues for trade and investment between the two countries.

Both leaders welcomed the recent conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement and expressed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations. They called for doubling bilateral trade, greater technology collaboration and exchanged views on regional and global developments.

India – France Joint Statement

At the invitation of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, President of the French Republic H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron paid an official visit to India from 17 to 19 February 2026 and participated in the Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit 2026. During the visit, the two leaders held bilateral talks and jointly inaugurated the 2026 India-France Year of Innovation in Mumbai on 17 February. This is President Macron’s 4th visit to India and it follows Prime Minister Modi’s visit to France in February 2025.

PM Modi will meet the French President Emmanuel Macron on 17 February 2026 in Mumbai. The two leaders will hold bilateral engagements at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. They will review the progress made in the India-France Strategic Partnership and exchange views on regional and global issues. They will also inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026.
