Prime Minister Narendra Modi to meet French President Macron in Mumbai

PM Modi will meet the French President Emmanuel Macron on 17 February 2026 in Mumbai. The two leaders will hold bilateral engagements at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai. They will review the progress made in the India-France Strategic Partnership and exchange views on regional and global issues. They will also inaugurate the India-France Year of Innovation 2026.

At the joint press meet, PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to further enhance partnership with Singapore in sectors like civil aviation, maritime trade and security, cyber security, countering extremism and terrorism. PM Modi expressed content over the successful conclusion of second review of comprehensive economic cooperation agreement and the international launch of RuPay, BHIM and UPI based remittance app in Singapore.

PM Modi addressed 11th East Asia Summit today in Laos. PM said competing geo-politics, traditional and non-traditional challenges threaten peace, stability and prosperity of the region. Talking against terrorism, the PM said terrorism is the most serious challenge to open and pluralistic societies and combating it would require collective effort. PM Modi said India will remain steadfast in shared pursuit of regional, strategic political and economic priorities within EAS framework.
