PM undertakes aerial survey of flood affected areas of Punjab

PM Modi visited Punjab to review the damage caused by heavy rains and cloudbursts. He announced ₹1,600 crore in aid, along with advance SDRF and PM-Kisan funds. The PM expressed his condolences to the affected families and announced support for orphaned children under the PM CARES scheme. He also pledged a multi-dimensional recovery plan covering homes, schools, highways, farmers, water harvesting, and relief for victims.

Cabinet approves the PM Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana

Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the proposal of the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) for rationalization of all Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) operating under Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s into two-umbrella Schemes viz. Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY), a cafeteria scheme and Krishonnati Yojana (KY).
