In the year’s final Mann Ki Baat episode, PM Modi said that in 2025, India made its mark in national security, sports, science laboratories and global platforms. He expressed hope that the country is ready to move forward in 2026 with fresh resolutions. In a major step towards transforming vocational education in India, the Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved the National Scheme for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Upgradation and the Setting up of five National Centres of Excellence for Skilling. It will be implemented as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme made under Budget 2024-25 and Budget 2025-26 with outlay of Rs.60,000 crore.
