Cabinet approves road widening projects in Telangana worth Rs.7597.16 crore

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved the widening of the existing Armoor-Jagtial-Mancherial Section of NH-63 and Jagtial-Karimnagar Section of NH-563 to the 4-lane standard at a cost of Rs.7597.16 crore. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved the construction of a 4-lane access-controlled greenfield connectivity corridor from Gohpur on NH-15 to Numaligarh on NH-715, including a 15.79 km road-cum-rail tunnel under the River Brahmaputra, worth Rs. 18,662 crore in Assam. The project will enhance the efficiency of freight movement, reduce logistics costs and drive socio-economic growth in the North Eastern region.
