PM Modi held bilateral talks with Norwegian PM Jonas Gahr Støre in Oslo, during which they reviewed the full spectrum of India-Norway relations. They agreed to elevate ties to a Green Strategic Partnership and underlined the aim of doubling trade between India and Norway by 2030. In his remarks during the India-Norway Joint Press Meet, PM Modi appreciated Norway for standing firmly with India against terrorism. He noted India’s target of attracting one hundred billion dollars in investment and creating one million jobs over the next fifteen years. He reiterated that both India and Norway believe in a rules-based order and advocated the early restoration of peace in Ukraine and West Asia.
