Cabinet approves restructuring & extension of PM SVANidhi Scheme

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved the restructuring and extension of the lending period of the PM SVANidhi Scheme until March 31, 2030. The restructured scheme worth ₹7,332 crore aims to benefit 1.15 crore beneficiaries including 50 lakh new beneficiaries. This will empower street vendors and also foster inclusive economic growth.Cabinet approves Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Sectors (LGSCAS) and to enhance the corpus of Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS)

On account of the disruptions caused by the second wave of COVID 19 specially on healthcare sector, the Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi has approved Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Sectors (LGSCAS) enabling funding to the tune of Rs. 50,000 crore to provide financial guarantee cover for brownfield expansion and greenfield projects related to health/ medical infrastructure.
