Cabinet approves National Scheme for ITI Upgradation and Setting up of 5 National COE for Skilling

In a major step towards transforming vocational education in India, the Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved the National Scheme for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Upgradation and the Setting up of five National Centres of Excellence for Skilling. It will be implemented as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme made under Budget 2024-25 and Budget 2025-26 with outlay of Rs.60,000 crore.Your mantra should be skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling: PM Modi to ITI students
