PM Modi and Australian PM Anthony Albanese committed to a Joint Declaration on Defence and Security Cooperation, reaffirming the vitality of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) established in 2020. They noted that since the launch of the CSP, strategic convergence has accelerated, economic ties have deepened and people-to-people connections have grown stronger. On the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Evian, France, PM Modi met Canada PM Mark Carney. The two leaders welcomed the positive momentum in India-Canada relations and reaffirmed their commitment to building a forward-looking strategic partnership. They also reviewed progress in bilateral economic cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the progress in negotiations towards a CEPA.
