PM Modi attended the Independence Day celebrations of Malpes at Republic Square as the Guest of Honour, alongside President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu. PM Modi has met Malpes President Muizzu in Male. Both the leaders took stock of the progress in the implementation of the India-Malpes Joint Vision for a ‘Comprehensive Economic and Maritime Security Partnership’ and also witnessed exchange of 6 MOUs. The PM reiterated India’s commitment to further deepen ties with Malpes in keeping with its Neighbourhood First’ and Vision MAHASAGAR policies.

PM Modi will pay an official visit to the UK and a State Visit to Malpes from July 23 – 26. He will hold wide ranging discussions with PM Starmer, and they will also review the progress of the CSP. PM Modi will be the ‘Guest of Honour’ at the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the Independence of Malpes on July 26. He will meet Malpes President Muizzu and hold discussions on issues of mutual interest.
