PM Modi will participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the HCL-Foxconn Joint Venture project in Uttar Pradesh on 21st February. With a total investment of over Rs 3,700 crore, the project is aligned with the Government's efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities, reduce import dependence and build resilient global supply chains. It will create thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The Union Cabinet, led by PM Modi, approved the establishment of a sixth semiconductor unit under the India Semiconductor Mission. A joint venture between HCL and Foxconn, the plant near Jewar airport will manufacture display driver chips for mobile phones, laptops, and more.
