The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, today approved two railway projects worth Rs. 3,907 crore, covering four districts across the states of Odisha and Jharkhand. The projects, in line with the PM's vision of a New India to make the people of the region Atmanirbhar, will provide seamless connectivity for the movement of people, goods and services. They will also improve rail connectivity to several prominent tourist destinations across the country.
