The Union Cabinet, led by PM Modi, has approved an additional 3% Dearness Allowance for Central Government employees and Dearness Relief for pensioners from July 1, 2025. Benefiting over 49 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners, this move, in line with the 7th CPC, supports families with an annual impact of ₹10,083.96 crore.

The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi approved additional instalment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to pensioners w.e.f. 01.01.2025. This will benefit about 48.66 lakh Central Government employees and 66.55 lakhs pensioners.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners, effective from July 1, 2024. This raises the existing rate to 53% of Basic Pay/Pension, aimed at offsetting inflation. The hike, based on the 7th Pay Commission's formula, will benefit around 49.18 lakh employees and 64.89 lakh pensioners.

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2024 representing an increase of 4% over the existing rate of 46% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate against price rise.
