At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the President of the Republic of Seychelles Dr. Patrick Herminie is on a State Visit to India. During their meeting on 9 February 2026, PM Modi and President Herminie had comprehensive and productive discussions covering the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. While addressing the joint press meet with Seychelles President Patrick Herminie, PM Modi said that Seychelles is an integral part of India’s MAHASAGAR Vision. He announced a Special Economic Package of 175 million dollars for Seychelles and discussed further strengthening ties across multiple sectors.
