The state visit of Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker to India resulted in the signing of several MoUs and agreements. These include areas such as amp-audiovisual, defence, food safety and skill development. An agreement to jointly organise a bilateral space industry seminar in Vienna in Autumn 2026 was also included in the Joint Statement.

In his address at the India-Austria Joint Press Meet, PM Modi said that Chancellor Stocker’s visit marks the beginning of a new era in India-Austria relations. Highlighting the partnership in infrastructure, innovation and sustainability, he noted that the visit will inject fresh momentum into trade and investment. He reiterated that military conflict cannot provide solutions to problems, whether in Ukraine or West Asia.
