Cabinet approves railway project in Bihar worth Rs. 2,192 crore

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved the doubling of the Bakhtiyarpur–Rajgir railway line in Bihar at a cost of ₹2,192 crore. This multi-tracking project, covering four districts of Bihar, will boost freight capacity, reduce congestion, and lower emissions. The project will support India’s journey toward becoming more efficient, sustainable, and Aatmanirbhar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Bihar and West Bengal

PM Modi will visit Bihar and West Bengal on 22nd August to launch projects worth ₹13,000 crore and ₹5,200 crore, respectively. In Bihar, he will inaugurate road projects, a power plant, a hospital & research centre, a sewerage treatment plant, flag off two trains, and participate in the Grih Pravesh of PMAY beneficiaries. In West Bengal, he will launch metro and road projects to further enhance connectivity.
