PM Modi will undertake a visit to Assam from 17–18 January 2026. During the visit, the PM will participate in Bagurumba Dwhou 2026, a historic cultural event celebrating the rich heritage of the Bodo community. In Kaliabor, he will perform the Bhoomi Poojan of the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project, worth over ₹6,950 crore. He will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, strengthening rail connectivity between the Northeast and northern India.
