PM Modi will visit Japan from 29–30 August 2025 and China from 31 August–1 September 2025, at the invitation of Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba and Chinese President Xi Jinping, respectively. In Japan, the PM will participate in the 15th India–Japan Annual Summit and hold discussions with Japanese PM Ishiba. PM Modi met the Deputy PM of Australia Richard Marles. The two leaders exchanged ideas to further strengthen the India - Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They reviewed cooperation in key areas such as defence industrial collaboration, resilient supply chains, critical minerals, new and emerging technologies. Deputy PM Marles reiterated Australia’s support in India’s fight against terrorism.
