A high profile delegation from Indonesia called on Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi yesterday on 9th October. They expressed their eagerness to get support from Gujarat Government for development in the field of Agriculture and Biomass Energy. The Governor of Solvici Province Mr. Syawral Yasin Limpo expressed his desire to work jointly with Gujarat Government. The Governor invited Shri Narendra Modi for a visit to Indonesia.

This delegation revived the 900 old business association of Indonesia with Gujarat. The Ambassador Left General Mr. Andi M Ghalib mentioned they were extremely impressed by the achievements of Gujarat state in the fields of Agriculture and Biomass Energy. Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi accepted the invitation extended by the Indonesian Government and suggested that students from Indonesia should study agricultural practices of Gujarat through student exchange programs. Gujarat State's Agriculture University offers special courses in Agriculture that students of Indonesia can study.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed happiness after the success of Aspirational Districts program on parameters such as health, nutrition, education and exports.

The Prime Minister tweeted;

“The success of Aspirational Districts on various parameters - be it health, nutrition, education or exports - is heartening. Glad to see the lives of lakhs get transformed due to Aspirational Districts program.”
