Treasures Trove in Sanskrit Explored by Mr. Modi
The classical language, Sanskrit has influenced myriad of languages in Indian sub continent & is the most versatile of all languages. Vedic Mathematics, Astronomy and Astrology, Epics, Literary works like Panchtantra Tales, Vedas, Upanishads have all been written in the language that belongs to 1500 BCE. However, with the introduction of modern languages, the ever transforming syllabus, and lack of political will in the nation has incredibly abridged the significance of the language.
I had been fortunate enough to be a part of Sanskritotsava held at Gandhinagar in the month of June. Where I had come to know, with such darkness spread around, there still lies a ray of hope who has been keenly working to discover the treasures hidden in the language. He is a visionary who has visualized the wonders hidden in the language & above all has taken strategic actions to explore Sanskrit Language among the masses. Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi had bought a light to the cache of scriptures and valuables documents written in Sanskrit remain buried due to 1,200 years of slavery. He made the assembled realize the treasure in the language is awaiting to facilitate the mankind while the ones who have devoted themselves towards Sanskrit will never starve throughout their lives.
The eve was set in motion with CMs dynamic in-depth knowledge and unfathomable zeal to explore the language which lied in the fact raised by him saying, “Sanskrit has the power of synthesis of ancient and modern sciences. Astrology of the Vedic period is widely accepted as part of Sanskrit literature even today.” Astrology (Jyotish) has the power to perceive the future and solve certain problems in present. He added “the filthiest one, the one perceiving himself to be the greatest of all, is in the queue in front of the Astrologer (Jyotish). So if this part of Sanskrit is relevant even today there can be manifold treasures hidden in the language.” He summarized “the concept of space; universe and planets were defined thousands of years ago but is still relevant. Sanskrit and archaeology have also got a close link.”
Aanchal Goswami one of the participants of Sanskritotsava said “I am obliged to be in the state where Sanskrit is being given importance in par with other languages, am thankful to my teachers who taught and above all the government of Gujarat for taking such an innovative initiative for the learners keen to learn the language”
Shri Narendra Modi affirmed “Vedic Mathematics finds its acceptance in European countries moreover it has become a part of syllabus there. Globally the language had first been broadcasted on Radio and Television in Germany and then awareness about the significance of the language spread in India.” The crowd mesmerized as he asserted, “the person belonging to Kerala, Assam or any corner of the nation will perceive the words spoken in Sanskrit equally. This depicts that Sanskrit has the inherent strength for emotional integration of people and influence the society. It is the language that unites the nation. Besides, Sanskrit is the most scientific and computer savvy language for transliteration.”
It made me feel proud to be in Gujarat and best part was to know that Mr. Modi is the only politician having his website in Sanskrit apart from other languages. It is hard to find a revolutionary who has taken a strategic step to explore the language by teaching it to 1 Lac people, he stated “it is not 1 lac people who have learnt but the gets multiplied as the learners communicating in Sanskrit will teach few more which ultimately raises the number of learners”
One of the learners Mitesh Sorathiya present their claimed “Am delighted to learn the language but listening to CM sir’s speech today made me realize how great the language is and it makes feel proud have explored the language that has global acceptance, Thank you CM sir for taking such a great step for us”
Be it marvels of Social Media or the Ancient Shashtras (Sacred writings) Mr. Modi signifies the minutest avenues for social development, in the times when the counterparts are indulged into the controversies of Bhagwad Gita and National Song Vande Mataram.
