“Rural Health Care Needs Improvement”
Poor people are practically not affording good quality healthcare facility and therefore they turn up to Quacks. A quality healthcare coverage in the form of Universal Health Insurance will help all people to get quality health care facilities. Government and Health Care department should promote Private Health care Facilities with certain quality standards in rural areas, in the from of tax relief, concessions in power, certain exemption in duty, etc. It will help rural population to have access to the highest quality healthcare. |

Rural people are the most vulnerable to diseases. Main reason is lack of doctors in rural hospitals. Moreover, when people are coming for treatment in civil hospital, they do not have any guidance that give courage to continue long treatments. so even in civil hospital, management should have appoint advisors that explain everything to rural patients regarding disease, treatment plan and cost and benefits. |

Rural healthcare is'nt the responsibility of Pvt. Sector. Government needs to invest substantially in setting proper complete infrastructure & opening guidance centres (as Dr Tejash pointed out). Subsidising Medical education to all students & employing them with the Govermnment Hospitals (ofcourse with respectable salaries) with go a long way in establishing the structure of good medical governance. As the education would be highly subsidised students will not feel the burden of earning quick money & should be made motivated by imparting them education of Socialism & Nationalism towards their pupil. Guidance Centers are of significant importance. There should be one to one counselling with the diseased & better Information Systems should be used n local languages that has all the information of facilities provided by Govenrment in medical area |

Yes, you are true. But please see the proposed Health care Law coming in Gujarat. It just curses the private hospitals and doctors. Oferring no incentive in return. How this will go a long way? |

Hi I am not from the field of docotors but i would like to suggest some ways. Today the government is spending a good amount towards health care programmes but the important thing is that it is not being utilised in a proper manner or say in the best way. The need is to make a special committee to check whether the funds released are being properly utilised. Another option is private public partnership which will help improve quality of medical facilities in rural areas. If we notice the people in rural areas used to come to cities for medical treatment and spend money here. So the best way is to provide them subsidised medical facilities in their villages through public private partnership hospitals. This will generate new employement to doctors and that too with a good pay scale. Important point is today doctors need to understand that they are born to provide services to mainkind and not to make money from unfair practices. |
