Share Ideas That Will Shape Gujarat

A recent study has shown Gujarat to be a leader in ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’. The Hon’ble Chief Minister owes this achievement to long term policies that reflect people’s real aspirations, needs and priorities. We believe that listening to what people have to say contributes to good governance.

We know your ideas can not only help improve the life of the citizens of Gujarat and the efficiency of the Government that serves them but also ensure governance that feels the pulse of its people. Ideas that show promise will be considered by the Government and will be made available for discussion on this website. Selected contributors may have the opportunity to work with the Government and Shri Narendra Modi to help implement these ideas.

We also believe that sharing thoughts, interacting with fellow citizens and exchanging views will help these ideas grow into powerful tools that will lead Gujarat to new heights and unite its people in the process. They say ‘ideas multiply when you share them’. Whether its environment or sanitation, education or health, economy or governance - Do you have something to contribute?

We are waiting to hear it.

Respected Narendrabhai Modi sir, I am sure no other Government has asked people for their opinion. I have not heard of any other state being so proactive. Your efforts make me think of true ‘loktantra’. We people feel like we have connected with you in person. You will always be no1 CM for us! Jai Hind.

Respected CM Saheb, You are true leader who is in touch with masses. Thank you for displaying my idea on this site. We hear very good ideas from you in your speeches and events. You are inspiration for progress and development everywhere and everyone should follow the Gujarat model. It is a dream to meet you in person

This is a great platform for being heard. When we think of development, we often blame the administration but never give our own inputs. We don’t even go and vote. At least, to start with, we should give our suggestions here. Thank you for responding to my email and taking my idea to concerned authorities. It has encouraged me to think about our development needs even more.

Respected CM Sir The actual utility of a street light is just 20 to 30% of what we spend in electricity. We can make GUJARAT as a model where we changed most of our street lights to LED. LEDs when constructed properly saves more than 80% than conventional Halogen lamps and around 60% as compared to CFL tubelights giving the same amount of illumination. LED also last for more than 30 Years and even after 30 Years the illumination reduces to only 70%. This will help us have double the number of electric poles in the same electric cost. We set a standard showing others that GUJARAT knows how to better utilize available resources. I saw this on my visit to MAGARPATTA city in PUNE and thought that GUJARAT is well capable to do this when a small city can do it. I got this idea when i started replacing my home lighting with led and found considerable reduction in electric bill.

Sir,I am big fan of your interactive speech.I have listen all the available speech in this portal and encouraged me to do some thing for school children. My idea:Village students don't have any idea about jobs in multinational company as well as private sector.Always village student think about job as teacher, government bank, cleark or jobs in GEB,Mamlatadar or Talati because this field employee are coming contact with villagers. If any village student get job in private sector with good salary then after getting job he will give very less attension to village school. We should develop one model where those who are working at higher position have to go to school and give idea to village students about future guidlines for job and importance of knowledge. What government has to do for this model: 1.Collect data by talati of each village those who are working at higher level but earlier studied from village and compile at district level.2.Advice the the expert to spend one day in school.

Is there any schemes on encouraging people to set high-schools in village area. What I feel is that rural area do not have high schools and hence many students drops the study. If the student continue the study, he gets exhausted in up-down(traveling). If some schemes comes which attracts public partnership in building schools in rural area then this could be very helpful.

I am Test Engineer at Airbus,Toulouse. I am living in France but always memorizing my motherland Gujarat. There are lots of Gujarati, who live far from home land and still want to contribute to development of Gujarat with you(Narendra bhai), but due to lack of opportunity in relevant field we can't do it . Here is the idea,we can create an official organization, which allows to connect each other(NRGs) and join you from miles away.

For nearly thousands of years Agriculture has not been industrialized. The furrows based irrigation wastes about 99% of water. Agriculture has to be industrialized. Farmers has to group together and do Integrated farming. Break all the walls of separation and group all farmers to industrialize Agriculture. Collective farming is the essence of the day. Please do the needful.

India is lagging in the semiconductor manufacturing space. We have no fabrication unit for semiconductors in our country. The desert like environment/climate is very important for setting up a fabrication unit for semiconductor manufacturing. Gujarat can use this as an opportunity to set up India's first fab in northern Gujarat.

Dear sir, So many polls are conducted in the country by different organizations, also your website has a poll going on for long time on the internet. However most people and villagers etc.,do not use internet. Why don't you have a permanent mechanism in place say at all police stations, post offices, banks etc by which polls can be conducted on any issue on which people's opinion is to be sought. Perhaps the same mechanism can be used for elections also.Switzerland has referendum system by which the government takes referendums to decide all important issues. Why not be the first state to implement such a system in Gujarat.
