On Sunday 27th January Shri Narendra Modi will visit New Delhi. He will meet Shri Rajnath Singh and congratulate him on his election as BJP President. This will be their first meeting after Shri Singh’s election as BJP President.

Before leaving for New Delhi Shri Modi Tweeted, Leaving for Delhi. Will meet Shri Rajnath Singh ji & congratulate him on his taking over as BJP President.”

 

When Shri Rajnath Singh was named as the candidate for the post of BJP President a few days ago, Shri Modi had extended his best wishes and pointed out that the BJP would gain immensely from his election as the Party President. He had Tweeted, “I called up Shri Rajnath Singh ji & congratulated him. He brings with him vast experience of both organisation & administration” and added, “Rajnath Singh ji served as Agriculture Minister in Atal ji's Govt. He has always been associated with the farmers. BJP will gain from this.”

Recently, Shri Rajnath Singh had visited Gujarat during Shri Modi’s swearing in ceremony. He had also visiting during the 2012 Gujarat Vidhan Sabha campaign and at the start of Vivekananda Yuva Vikas Yatra in on 11th September 2012.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation today with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving security situation in West Asia.

Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions and reaffirmed India’s strong condemnation of attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister reiterated the call for de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy for earliest restoration of peace and stability.

Prime Minister thanked His Highness the Amir for his personal attention to the continued well-being and the safety of the large Indian community in Kuwait.
