Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Chairman Nandan Nilekani yesterday called on Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi and explained to him the concept of the project launched by the government.
Mr. Nilekani had an hour-long meeting with the Chief Minister during which he explained the entire concept of the card to be given to all citizens of the country.
Moreover, Mr. Nilekani also had a meeting with senior secretaries of the state government regarding the project and explained how it could be implemented across the country.
Mr. Nilekani explained the concept of the project and its benefits once all citizens are given the multipurpose card. He also explained the process of implementing the project in the country.
According to him, during the meeting, Shri Narendra Modi asked some questions regarding the project and its implementation.
