Chief Minister and the President of Gujarat Cricket Association, Shri Narendrabhai Modi felicitated Sachin Tendulkar at Motera Cricket Stadium today. Winning the proverbial hearts and minds of cricket-lovers, Sachin Tendulkar has completed a very successful spell in Indian cricket. On behalf of the Gujarat Government, Chief Minister presented him the replica of Dwasdash Jyotirlinga- Bhagvan Somanath and a Shawl on completing two successful decades in international cricket.

Chief Minister drove to Motera Stadium for according warm and grand welcome to all the players. The 1^st test match between India and Shrilanka began today. Chief Minister also extended best wishes to players of both the teams.

On behalf of Gujarat Cricket Association, Deputy President of Gujarat Cricket Association and MOS for Home Shri Amitbhai Shah had offered a memento to Sachin Tendulkar. Office bearers of G.C.A and cricket lovers were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister enjoyed the initial spell of 1^st test-match. Speaker of the Assembly Shri Ashokbhai Bhatt, Forest Minister Shri Mangubhai Patel also watched the test match.
