Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra
Modi, who was on a four day visit to Sikkim,
celebrated Diwali with the Indian Army at Nathula Indo-China Border at 14,000
ft, thousands of kilometers away from his home - Gujarat.
He was highly impressed with the Jawans and
greeted them on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Gujarat’s
Chief Minister was welcomed by jubilant army officers and personnel. They
escorted him to the Nathula border.
It may be recalled that last year Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi had
celebrated Diwali with Indian Jawans at Kutch Indo-Pak border. After the trip
from Nathula,Chief Minister visited Baba Mandir and also visited the well
known monastery, Zurmang Kagyud Monastery in Lingdong located a few kilometers
from the capital city.
