  • _ajitsinh June 28, 2012 This twin drive is very unique and would be world wide first in terms of concept and action. This is the thenth year of the drive and got the huge financial and all kind support from the society which shows shri Narendra Modiji’s success of hot ideas in action. All the members of team Gujarat are approaching home to home in 45 degree summer temperature just to bring a child to school! What a noble thought! A great salute to CM sir and his team.
  • Madhusudan Mehta June 27, 2012 Dear Narendrabhai
Its great effort that you are putting in to enroll maximum number of children to schools.Enrollment is good but what measures you have taken to see that the kids remain in school and complete their academic year. Please offer some incentive to kids and parents too.many kids will otherwise end up as child labour in one form or other where poverty rules the life of many poor families.
Another suggestion ios to start night schools for those who had the desire to study but missed their ambition in their childhood. Many adults, seniors who are not literate will be so happy to get a chance of their lifetime. The existing municipal and village schools can be become evening/night schools. The teachers can be selected from the retired teachers / village level govt functionaries like Talati, Forest guard , police constable or even any other volunteer for student community from Teachers training colleges or any youth interested in doing some good to society. They can be given some small honararium or special mention in their CRs etc.The hawkers / larivalas/ rikshadrivers/ and many will utilise their spare hours to buildup their life.
I as a child have seen this as very successful night school running in Nagpur by Municipal corporation in their school.
I am writing to you as a senior citizen and very much devoted to development of our Bharat.God Bless you.
    Madhusudan Mehta (IFS Retd.)
